OK, now that the Halloween festivities are finally here, we can officially suspend most of our rules for integrity and decency in a flat out, uninhibited effort to scare the bejebus out of both ourselves as well as you, our loyal followers.

So, here we go.

From the create of The House and The House 2 is a third creepy, dark, sadistically scary point and click, halloween game entitled, appropriately, Halloween. Significantly shorter than it’s predecessors, it still packs at least a couple of scares that can easily shake you straight out of your Kenneth Coles (not to mention your Herman Miller desk chair).

Beware, the same warnings apply as with the last two, this is not for the faint of heart. If you (for some crazy reason), don’t enjoy blood and guts, disturbing psychotic actions of gore and violence or having the bowel movements scared right out of you, DO NOT CLICK THIS LINK.

That being said, both of these games are best played at night, in the dark, blinds closed, doors locked, headphones on and turned up... oh, and get the mop ready; that spiked apple cider and box of Mike & Ike’s won’t stay put long.

Next, despite technically an advergame, Hotel 626 is one of the most frighteningly scary, thrilling spine tingling escape style, halloween games. Evade the deadly darkness descending on the hotel in which you just awoke through 10 levels of creepy, time crunched puzzles to escape the building to the safety of your car waiting for you in the adjacent parking lot. The awesome thing about this game, besides leaving you with the hairs on your neck and arms at full salute, is that it successfully utilizes your webcam, microphone and headphones in order to solve the puzzle and escape the room. +1 for successfully integration without interrupting the game flow. One note: to maximize the effect, the game actually requires you to play between 6PM and 6AM. While I HIGHLY recommend doing so (the later in the night the better), it is possible to unlock the game by changing your computers clock (temporarily) appropriately. All in all, Hotel 626 is a super awesome game, especially when playing on Halloween night. And about that bowel movement it just left in your pants? Yeah, that was sponsored by Doritos.
